The 2016 Edition of MTA Hanoi Concluded on a High Note
177 exhibitors; 4,619 trade visitors; 162 delegate groups validated the relevance and suc-cess of MTA HANOI 2016 for Vietnam’s industries in the north and Hanoi. Into its fourth edi-tion, this year’s event, which drew to a close on 28 April 2016, exceeded all expectations with the industry’s robust support.
Hanoi, 16 May 2016 – Organised by Singapore Exhibition Services and the local organiser VCCI Exhibition Service in the week of 26-28 April 2016, MTA HANOI 2016 – the 4th International Precision Engineering, Machine Tools and Metalworking Exhibition and Conference provided a comprehensive industry platform for industrial manufacturers and technology suppliers to network and extend their business prospects, all under one roof at the International Centre for Exhibition (I.C.E), Hanoi, Vietnam.
The 2016 edition was a resounding success, welcoming more than 4,600 trade visitors from 12 countries and regions, representing a healthy increase of 16.7% compared to the previous edition – where there were also over 160 delegate groups visiting from well-known local companies and organisations, namely, Yamaha, Samsung, Canon, Foxconn, Dong Anh Licogi, Young In, Hamagasu, Uju Electronics, Vinakip, Semiconductor, Vinh Tien Co., Ltd, and many others.
Mr. BT Tee – Deputy Chief, Vietnam Representative Office, Singapore Exhibition Services, the organiser of MTA HANOI 2016 expressed satisfaction with the results: “I am very pleased to announce that the three exhibition and conference days of MTA HANOI 2016 has been well attended by the engineering community. A large number of top-tier exhibitors congregated at one event
MTA HANOI 2016 prides itself as the industry’s one-stop-shop for the precision and machine tool industry – positioning itself as the ultimate platform for education, networking and state-of-the-art machine tool technologies. Encompassing 4,300 square meters of the exhibition space, the niche event featured a total of 177 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions, with the strong presence of four international group pavilions of Taiwan (2), Singapore and Korea. As in previous editions, the show attracted many new international brands and first-time exhibitors in addition to the presence of prominent returning companies such as Bystronic, Sodick, Carl Zeiss, Beijing JingDiao and numerous others, adding to the growing momentum of the show since its initial launch.
“We have entered to Vietnam market since 2005 and attended the series of MTA since 2007. As a familiar exhibitor, I think MTA HANOI in particular and MTA VIETNAM in general are operating quite well.” stated by Mr. Shaun Lim – Regional Director (Southeast Asia), Carl Zeiss Pte Ltd. “With much planning and preparation from the organiser, the show is getting better and better throughout the years. Mr. Carlos Gazio – Managing Director (Southeast Asia), GF Machine Solutions Pte Ltd. echoed the same sentiments: “This is our first time participating in MTA HANOI and the show so far has exceeded my expectations. We have joined this exhibition with an aim to expand our brand across Vietnam and the region; and it has definitely helped us a lot. Most of the trade visitors participating in the three-day exclusive event hailed this 2016 edition as a success, providing them with top-notch opportunities to source for best-of-breed machine tools and precision engineering technologies.

Also upbeat about the show was Mr. Tran Van Phu – Assistant Manager Metal R&D, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen. “We are very pleased with our time spent at MTA HANOI 2016. We especially feel impressed with the showcase of many machinery technologies by industry leaders. In particular, we have had chances to meet up with a few of our existing suppliers, who are both visitors and exhibitors at the show. Regretfully, we couldn’t manage to stay longer due to our tight schedules. We’re thinking to have more groups visit the next edition of MTA HANOI.”
Free-to-enter seminar sessions covering a wide range of technical subjects
Supplementing the bustling hive of activity on the exhibition floor, four high quality content driven education seminars were also conducted with the participation of more than 220 trade delegates in total. The in-depth conferences brought together a strong lineup of manufacturing professionals in Vietnam and the surrounding region, among whom were Mr. Nguyen Van Thu – Chairman, Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry; Ms. Phan Thi Minh – Director, Nhat Minh Company; Mr. Nguyen Tien Dong – Vice Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Mr. Le Van Khuong – Chairman, Construction Machinery Corporation and many more.
Hosted by Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MESLAB), Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI) and Korean Chamber of Business in Vietnam (KORCHAM), the technical seminar sessions provided delegates with invaluable insights into precision engineering, metalworking, manufacturing technology, latest industry trends as well as best practices catering to the future of this promising sector.
Government ministries demonstrate strong support for MTA HANOI 2016
